NLR has successfully flown its HYDRA II drone powered by liquid hydrogen. The hydrogen was conditioned on-board and delivered to a fuel cell to produce electricity which was then fed to the electric motors. The liquid hydrogen was stored in a liquid hydrogen drone tank developed by Cryoworld, and 20K Hydrogen is now working in product development.
